We recommend only the use and replacement of the original brake system parts with properly engineered parts designed for that make and model - We do not condone or support the changing of a brake system into something that it was not engineered for by the manufacturer of the vehicle.
We do not sell changeover kits or rebraking kits that would install components not originally speciified for the vehicle.
Keep the OEM brake system in top condition and enjoy the vehicle as it is!

I am in North East Ct. I am parting out a 1974 Travco 220 with Disc brake/dual hydravac. It would have all the parts you need although the master and calipers probably need to be rebuilt but it has all the hardware nessecary for the conversion. Contact me if interested at my forum.

Don -
Sorry to say that there isn't a refitment for your truck.
However, we do have the parts to fix the brakes, although the front drum is still not in production with anyone.
This covers only the 1972 MY front. The 1969-1971 front drum is available from us as are all the rear drums from 69-73.
I wish I could offer every single item in the pantheon of parts, but I believe we all know that is impossible.

Unfortunately, distribution blocks, or valves, or also referred to as "proportioning valves", are original equipment parts only and are not available in the aftermarket for older model vehicles as they were originally built. Generally, these parts last the expected life span of the vehicle.

The handbrake service parts are generally not available due to the small numbers of vehicles built and the even smaller numbers of anticipated repairs to be expected from this vehicle parts group. Sadly, the tooling necessary to make these parts is too expensive to undertake the project.

I have a mustang after maket front suspension installed in my 1934 ford coupe and I have a lot of brake lever travel.I have 3/4 inch x 11 inch rotors and metric calipers with a corvette master .I have been told by masterpower that I need a quick take up master.Any body heard of these masters.A friend of mine has a 1932 ford roadster and has 11 inch x 1 inch rotors and metric calipers and doesn't have excessive brake lever travel.Also a lot of people have never heard of a quick take up master.I,ve had this trouble for two years and I'm looking for some answers to my problem.The manufacturer which was Total.Cost.Involved.said I should double pump the brakes each time I stop and that they have never heard of a quick take up master.I paid 2300 dollars for this front suspension.Got any answers.Things I,ve changed so far are the master and the lines and went to combo valve instead of residual in the rear and a 2lb residual valve for each front caliper and a 7 inch brake booster PS Thers no air in the lines Thanks Jim Henderson

First, ATP Brake does not engage in the re-engineering of brake systems or components. I do not involve myself in people's project cars besides taking orders for parts specified by the buyer...If it isn't correct, then it belongs on your coffee table along with the rest of your life's mistakes because you made the decision to buy that part and it is what it's supposed to be, but it may not be what you want it to be... this is a distinction between buying wholesale and buying retail, please note well. This has nothing to do with alledged defective parts, either. This has to do with taking responsibility for that which you choose to buy. Wholesale vs. retail in a nutshell...
The quick take-up master cylinder designates a class of plastic reservoir and aluminum body cylinders which have special valves in between the reservoir chambers and the cylinder compression chamber in the bore of the cylinder.
The valves act to meter fluid inflow and outflow and also the rate of pressure relief from the compression chamber back into the fluid reservoir. These units are first seen on GM vehicles from 1982 onward. They are typically much harder to bleed than older tandem cylinders and do require special techniques for success at bleeding.

1957 Chevrolet C6400 (16000 lb GVW, dual rear wheels).
Single cylinder master cylinder is below floor, and its pressure line feeds a canister; same canister also has a vacuum line going to it. output of the canister is 2 lines, which as tee'd into a total of 4 lines, one line for each wheel.
I fill the master cylinder, and press the pedal - nothing. I press the pedal 5-6 more times, the master cylinder is now empty. I refill the master cylinder, repeat the process, the fluid just disappears. I've checked the 4 wheels for fluid, nothing. I could pour in a quart of brake fluid, and never see a drop at the wheels.
Vacuum booster is too corroded for repairs, I think I need a new booster.
Anyone have any ideas?

I have been trying to locate front disc splash shields for my 1975 monty carlo. GM parts don't seem to go back that far. Seems I can't get them for chevells eather, If you do find them they are some fancy crome type. All I am looking for are the original type galvinized steel. I don't really think one needs to spend 75 bucks for fancy shields when these should not cost more that 10-15 each new.

I'M A COUPLE of years late, but this is what i did. After buying used rims for $50 i found a source for new (Venezuela) rims for $55. These are large stud 8-hole. They might have 17" and five hole. I have never been able to help find the old militry 6-gole. Wheel makers will not make low numbers of wheels due to liability issues. If Ihad those wheels I would change all hubs to 8-hole.

Casting number on center section 72GM3969340NF- I.D. of drum 9 1/2"-2 1/2" wide-4 3/4" bolt space,and the hole for the starwheel adj. at bottom of unit is in the drum not the backing plate. I have a 1950 Dodge truck I replaced both front wheel cylinders, all the lines, the rubber hoses, at some of the junction blocks and on one of the wheel cylinders there are leaks, are there thread sealers for brakes, or do you just keep tightening?

have single booster (Bendix) with a hissing noise. There was a snout for a hose connection (before rust) that ran to a remote air filter. I assume that this was for the release air.
i wrapped an oil soaked rag around it and have never done anythin about it. I could fabricate a new "snout" but the booster itself is very rust pitted and should be replaced.
Any help in locating one appreciated. It's '73 Dodge one ton
with 423 cid motor. pls reply to my e-mail. thanks

I'm trying to find a remote filler to put on a single master clyinder. my problem is the car( 31 ford coupe) has a 41 v8 flathead and the transmition crossmeber fits over the master cylinder fill plug. it's so close i can't even unscrew the cap filler. any ideas? any help would be greatly appreciated

I just got a 66' Dodge Travco and I cant figure out why the brakes are not working. After finally finding the Resevoir for the fluid, (which is a few inches behind the pedal under the driver floor board) I filled it and I have no compression in the pedal. I have checked the front/rear lines an fluid does come from the lines, Im guessing the master cylinder or the part I put the fluid in is bad and not pushing the compression or fluid thru..or the power assist is not reacting from me not doing something or its broken. I just dont know. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Phil

hy, i am the owner of an rv powerded by a dodge f30 1976 on a MB300 body. I am looking for a replacement float for my gaz tank, the tank is a 36 gallon plastic tank.I know also that the resistance of the flot is 50 ohms. I need at least 1 (or 2 if someone has them), 1951 Chevy 3/4 ton Front Brake Drums. The GM part number is(I think) 3847128.
The 47-51 3/4 ton 8 lug front drums are for "Huck style" brakes.
Please do not tell me you have the 52-55 3/4 ton front drums as they will not work (I have tried them).
PLEASE help if you can. Every manual and store I have look into indicates that they have been discontinued?

I have a 1950 gmc 150 3/4 ton and found it really difficult to locate front brake drums 11x 2 inches 8 lug with - a 4 1/2 hub diameter and 3 1/2 inch full measure from hub to end of drum. I have a friend who is helping find a front pair. If no luck im gonna find a shop that could upgrade front to bendix .

I haqve a rear end assy with casting # 369950 and below what looks sort of like a star burst in a circle. I believe it'a from a Chevy of the 30's and suspect a truck as the axles don't have a nut holding them on. The drums have an adjuster for mechanical brakes. Any help would be appreciated.

having problem with ford F250-CS rear brakes.every time we have to make emergency stop, the rt rear or the left rear wheel cylinder blows out.I have replaced these cylinders with new cylinders each time,but it just keeps happening.I'll bet I've put in 25 rear wheel cylinders in my 1973 Ford F250-CS and now its starting on my 1974 Ford F250-CS no one seems to know what the problem is can you help

I found a set of drums these are the specs;
Brake Face Diameter = 14.13"
Overall Height = 5.94"
Brake Face Width = 3.3"
Hub Pilot = 6.75"
Bolt Circle Diameter = 8"
Number of Holes = 5
Hole Dia = 0.91"
Will this drum fit my M375 ??
